WIRELESS PET FENCE TRAINING TIPS

Here are some important pointers that will aid you in training your beloved pet through the use of our wireless pet fence or wireless dog containment system. Follow these tips and you are guaranteed an effective training and positive results!

Using one of our wireless pet fence systems is so easy. You do not need to follow very complicated instructions and no longer have to do difficult installations. However, there are times especially for first time customers to become unfamiliar with the proper ways on how to use our wireless dog containment systems. This difficulty will sometimes be accompanied by the worries on how to effectively train their dogs. But of course, you have to remember that training should be fun, fair, firm and consistent. And when it comes to this matter, we hope that these training tips will help you a lot:

Þ During training, never let your pet run free in the yard The negative effect of this is that it will confuse your dog and you may have to re-start the entire training process all over again.

Þ It is best to keep your dogs on a restricted area during the first week.

Þ For a beginner, it is not advisable to walk your pet over the boundary line because it may confuse him.

Þ If your pet has to leave the protected area, be sure to remove his collar and carry him to the other side. Failure to do so, will result to unnecessary corrections that might scare or confuse him.

Þ Train your pet to be comfortable wearing the collar receiver

Þ For proper sanitation, try to clean both the collar receiver and the dog's neck every week.

Þ Training flags may serve as a temporary visual boundary for your pet and will also help you out with the training process. Maintain the position of these flags for about two weeks and slowly remove them one by one depending on your dog's training improvement until he memorized all the boundaries without the flags.

Þ Make sure that each session will be short and upbeat but will really be effective.

Þ Dogs have extremely short attention span that's why better allot more time and extend your patience for them.

Þ Communicate with your dog in the most humane way possible.

Þ Everyday, each training lesson should only last about 10 to 15 minutes but must be continuously repeated each day for better training result.

Þ Since you already expect that your dog will experience an uncomfortable but harmless, static correction when reaching the boundary, make sure you quickly pull your dog back into the safe area of the yard. This will be remembered by your dog and he will do the same thing when you let him walk on his way as he approaches the signal field.

Þ After two weeks of daily training, you can remove all the training flags and teach your pet how to safely walk over the boundary. Encourage your pet not t go beyond the boundary until he gets used to it. Then your dog will eventually know how to discipline himself.
