Here are some important pointers that will aid owners in training the beloved pet through the use of our wireless pet fence or electric wireless pet fence system. Follow these wireless pet fence training tips and be guaranteed an effective training and positive results!

Using one of our wireless pet fence systems is so easy. No need to follow very complicated instructions and no longer have to do difficult installations. However, there are times especially for first time customers to become unfamiliar with the proper ways on how to use our wireless pet fence systems. This difficulty will sometimes be accompanied by the worries on how to effectively train their dogs. But of course, owners have to remember that training should be fun, fair, firm and consistent. And when it comes to this matter, we hope that these wireless pet fence training tips will help owners a lot:

Þ During training, never let the pet run free in the yard The negative effect of this is that it will confuse the dog and owners may have to re-start the entire training process all over again.

Þ It is best to keep the dogs on a restricted area during the first week.

Þ For a beginner, it is not advisable to walk the pet over the wireless fence boundary line because it may confuse him.

Þ If the pet has to leave the protected area, be sure to remove his collar and carry him to the other side of the wireless fence boundary. Failure to do so, will result to unnecessary corrections that might scare or confuse him.

Þ Train the pet to be comfortable wearing the collar receiver

Þ For proper sanitation, try to clean both the collar receiver and the dog's neck every week.

Þ Training flags may serve as a temporary visual boundary for the pet and will also help owners out with the training process. Maintain the position of these flags for about two weeks and slowly remove them one by one depending on the dog's training improvement until he memorized all the boundaries without the flags.

Þ Make sure that each session will be short and upbeat but will really be effective.

Þ Dogs have extremely short attention span that's why better allot more time and extend the patience for them.

Þ Communicate with the dog in the most humane way possible.

Þ Everyday, each training lesson should only last about 10 to 15 minutes but must be continuously repeated each day for better training result.

Þ Since owners already expect that the dog will experience an uncomfortable but harmless, static correction when reaching the boundary, make sure owners quickly pull the dog back into the safe area of the yard. This will be remembered by the dog and he will do the same thing when owners let him walk on his way as he approaches the signal field.

Þ After two weeks of daily training, owners can remove all the training flags and teach the pet how to safely walk over the boundary. Encourage the pet not t go beyond the boundary until he gets used to it. Then the dog will eventually know how to discipline himself.
