WIRELESS PET FENCE DEFINITION AND FUNCTION

dog

When it comes to the safety of our furry little friends, there is no such thing as having too much information concerning a product designed for them. This is why we aim to provide you as much information as possible about the wireless pet fence system.

The wireless pet fence system is primarily made up of two parts; the transmitter and the receiver. The transmitter is what emits the radio signal that defines the containment area. While the receiver is a part of the lightweight and waterproof collar that the pet wears. All kits will include an instructional training and installation manual. Some kits will include training flags to provide a visual aid of the containment area. For additional comfort for your pet, Comfort Contacts can be purchased.

It is when the receiver is no longer able to pick up on the radio waves being sent by the transmitter, that it knows it is outside of the permitted boundary. When this happens, a corrective pulse can be felt by the receiver. The instant response by the collar is essential in the training process. Until your pet returns to the boundary area that you have set, the corrective response will continue. While this can prove to be undesirable and annoying to your pet, it will not harm the pet.
